From its inception, UBC has planned for growth. The largest microbrewery in Indiana, Upland employs two 60 barrel fermenters (King and Kong) and two 30 barrel fermenters. A mash tun, boiling kettle, hot-storage tanks, and smaller R-2 units affectionately called “Grundys” for building yeast cultures, constitute the working metal, and several large conditioning tanks and a bottling machine round out the plant–all in glorious stainless steel.
